Hee Hee!

Sometimes it feels like my body is doing things independent of me. :-)

34 weeks!! Only 6 more left!!

Well, the baby fat has finally caught up with me and I'm up a total of 12 lbs so far. I knew the 6 lbs. up through month 7 was too good to last. Pretty much can't wear any of my regular pants at this point. My stomach is so tight I can't imagine what will happen when I get even bigger these last few weeks!! Baby Y definitely seems like he is running out of room in there and is constantly moving. I think he is packing things up, organizing, and trying to get ready for the move. :-)

Friday night my sweet Bunco gals threw me a surpise baby shower at our monthly game night! It was so sweet and thoughtful!! Here are a cell phone few pictures as I didn't have my camera ready!

The poor cake. It did say "It's a boy!" but it apparently looked really bad so the ladies covered the words with 3 little rubber duckies. Unfortunately, I didn't get a shot of the cake with the duckies (they had to be moved before eating!) but you get the idea. :-)

Had a good date day on Saturday. We ordered an old fashioned all wooden high chair (thanks Auntie Sarah and Uncle Scott!) and then hiked up Stone Mountain. We were so lucky that we missed all the rain and got to enjoy some nice weather at the top. Proof that I did it in my 8th month of pregancy (even carrying a little backpack with our lunch in it!):

After our exercising and lunch, we stopped by Brigette's parents house to visit briefly, get a sewing repair, and pick out a movie from the paper. We did a quick exchange at Babies R Us, had dinner at Panera Bread and enjoyed "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." It was pretty good and we enjoyed it. Brigette was a little wiped out on Sunday, but we are making the most of our date nights before Baby Y comes. We saw the previews for the next Harry Potter movie coming out in July, so that will have to be our first post-baby date night, if we can stand to leave him somewhere while we go!!

Sunday we finally put the crib together and moved around Baby Y's room. Brigette even mostly packed her hospital bag. Yes, she is in her I'm-pregnant-so-I-don't-care-PJs so don't hassel her on lack of fashion!

Baby Shower!!

Here is my super adorable cake that matches the super cute cowboy baby invitations!! Cowboy baby even has on a cloth diaper with cowhide print!! :-) If you notice on the table, there are baby pictures of Justin and I as wee ones. There are also brownies with cowboy hats on some and cowhide diapers on others!! SO CUTE!!

No mistaking the theme here:

Sweet Ladies at the Shower!

Cutie outfits from Greta!

Homemade, crocheted blankets from my mother. The multi-colored one my mother made just for Baby Y. The green/yellow one is the one my mother made for me before I was born!! Goes just perfect with our Cowboy/John Deere Farmer themes!!

Aunt Celestia and Uncle Ryan gave Baby Y this super cozy blanket with his name on it!

My sweet neice is helping me unwrap things.

Adorable Horse hooded towel from Auntie Sarah and Baby Y's first cowboy boots from Betty!

The whole party was lovely and thanks to everyone who put such work into making it so wonderful!! Another weekend bonus was seeing my great Auntie Beverly and Uncle Joe and their son, Donald, down from MA for a graduation. Great weekend altogether!

32 weeks!!

So, think I have mainly solved the problem of having to sleep on the couch due to my aching hips. I picked up an old foam egg crate thing that I used on my college bed in undergrad (I had two mattresses and this 4" foam layer on my bed-I was like the Princess and the Pea!) from my parents' house. It is a little scary (things stick to the foam, it looks a little old and ratty) but it has allowed me enough cushion that I can sleep in my bed with my husband again!! Course I'm up 4 inches higher, but I am the Princess and the Pea (or is that Princess of "pee"?!).

We finally have a crib for Baby Y thanks to my friend Kim! And we have moved all our stored junk out of his room. I have washed all the clothes I got him from church yard sales and such and organized them by size in his little closet and dresser. Well, there are still a few things in the dresser drawers, but he won't need those for a while.

Here is preggo in front of some of the lovely roses in front of our home:

My lovely sisters in law are throwing a shower for Baby Y this weekend, so that will be a lot of fun and I'll post some pictures next week.

The Baby Y Show gets more and more interesting as he gets bigger. I can now really feel actual baby body parts moving around and pushing under my hand! It is wacky! I can't tell what things are really, not sure which way is up or down with him at this point, but it is pretty cool. Trying to get a video to share here. Maybe next week.

Still feeling good. Have hiked up Stone Mountain again and that was great. Still working out at the gym a few days a week. We have a lap pool now, so I'm enjoying doing that. I am running out of room in my stomach for food! Baby Y is taking up all available space that I can't eat much before I am totally stuffed! Was very sad not to be able finish my root beer float Wednesday night. :-)
