Sure has been a busy month!! Colton is speed crawling and cruising all over the house. He is standing alone a lot more and is just about ready to take off on his first steps! We'll be in trouble then for sure!!
How cute are these TOES?!!
Apparently they taste good too!
Colton loves you to 'get' him! He will roll over on your leg and tilt his head back at you so you know he wants to play. It is adorable and how could you not give in and play?!
Bath time outside at Brigette's parents' house. Super white baby alert!

BAPTISM

Colton was baptized in early June. He did really well considering he had to make it through all of the service and it was roasting hot at the church. He tried to get into the holy water (guess he really needed to be dunked!) but it mostly went without a hitch! Took forever to schedule due to our schedules and Christmas/Easter holidays when they don't do baptisms (during Advent and Lent).

Separation Anxiety
Justin went to Colorado in mid-June for Birdalone's wedding reception and since then, Colton seems to be displaying a little separation anxiety, especially from Justin. Justin usually drops him off at daycare in the morning and although he adores his teachers, lately he has been crying and holding onto Justin's leg when he is trying to leave. :-( Hopefully it won't last too long!
TEETH

Colton has had his bottom two teeth for about 2 months. He is still nursing and we've had a few minor biting issues but nothing major. However, he is getting a tooth in on the top and I believe that might be the demise to nursing as I have already been accidentally bit a few times and it is horrible!! He might be able to learn to not bite, but not sure if I can take the time to teach that lesson!! We will go a bit longer if we can, although I am not interested in going til a child can ask to be nursed or anything!! Going a full year of full time nursing has been rough (time consuming to say the least) but we are really glad we were able to stick it out and hope that Colton will benefit in the long term from the health benefits of nursing. Not to mention all the money we saved on formula and bottles!! We have to wash dishes all the time for just my pumping stuff and the bottles for daycare, I cannot imagine how much worse it would have been if he was using bottles full time!

FOURTH OF JULY and FIRST HAIRCUT
We hiked up Stone Mountain that morning. It was unusually cool for July, but was getting warm by the time we made it. We stopped by Brigette's parents house on the way home and decided to cut Colton's hair! Justin did the duty and a very good job. Just cut the pieces over the ears as they were getting pretty long and out of control. Miss pushing it behind his ears now though! He looks like a dashing little boy with his new hair!
